ABOUT LA CRESCENTA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FOUNDATION

LCES Foundation is a group of parents, teachers and staff who are committed to working together to raise funds to support and promote the academic, social, physical and mental development of all our students.  All donations are tax deductible. LCES Foundation is a 501c(3) non-profit foundation (#95-4337382).

WHAT IS LCES FOUNDATION?

LCES Foundation is mainly fundraising. We are separate from PTA but work with them closely. We raise the money needed to support the activities our students and staff love. In addition to fundraising, we are very involved in the community of our school. We thrive because of our LCES families, teachers, staff, students and our volunteers. We want everyone to feel welcome at La Crescenta Elementary. Everything we do, we do for the kids!

This year, our main commitment is funding the three amazing enrichment opportunities our kids LOVE:

  • Planet Bravo Computer Classes for all students in 2nd through 6th grade
  • Art Classes with Mr. Loya for every student
  • Primary Music Classes with Mrs. Bennett for all students in TK through 3rd grade.

It is very important to us to keep these classes going, year after year. In order to do that, we rely on fundraisers. Our main fundraisers this year will include:

  • Foundation Donation Drive
  • APEX Fun Run & Donation Drive
  • Scholastic Book Fair
  • Paint & Sip w/ Mr. Loya (parent's night out)
  • Spirit Wear Sales
  • Penny Wars (student fundraiser)
  • Dine Out Nights

FOUNDATION MEETINGS

Foundation meetings generally take place on the 3rd Thursday of each month, at 7:00pm via Zoom. All are welcome to join our meetings. If you are interested in learning more about upcoming events and volunteer opportunities, this is the place for you. A Zoom link will be sent to families the day before the meeting.
